SegWit

Segregated Witness (SegWit) is the process of increasing the blockchain block size limit by removing digital signature data and moving it to the end of transactions to free up capacity.

Transactions are essentially split (or “isolated”) into two pieces: the original data piece and the signature (or “witness”) piece.
